Tournament Pitching Rules

A pitcher may pitch two (2) consecutive games, but must sit out the third game.  The following are the maximum outs a pitcher may throw, based on age group:

   10 & Under:        Maximum of 18 outs in two (2) consecutive games

   12 & Under:        Maximum of 18 outs in two (2) consecutive games

   14 & Under:        Maximum of 21 outs in two (2) consecutive games

An exception will be allowed on double or triple plays.

Examples:

   A.    A pitcher may pitch all of the out combinations in one game, sit out one game, and pitch out combination in next game or next two (2) games.

   B.    A pitcher pitches three (3) outs in game one and seven (7) outs in game two.  The pitcher would then have to sit out game three, even though he had outs remaining, because he would not have consecutive games remaining.

Please keep accurate records to avoid forfeit of games due to pitching violations.  Record pitchers and outs for each game on pitching sheet provided in your tournament packet.
